2009 resultsWorcester Athletics Club scooped the first three past the post in the 2009 10k road race. Winner was the club’s David Hall (aged 33) in a time of 34 minutes, one second. In second place was Chris Davies (aged 21) in 35.53 and third man was Ivan Pawluk (aged 46) in 36.02. The first woman in the 10k race was Ceris Styler (aged 29) who was not affiliated to any club and completed the course in 41 minutes, 44 seconds. Second woman, in 43.28, was Lisa Gregory (aged 38) from Black Pear Joggers. Emily Seward (aged 34) unaffiliated, was the third woman in 44.26. In the veteran categories 1st man (40+) was Darren Salisbury (44) from Black Pear Joggers in 37.00; 1st man (50+ category) was John Manley (50) from Bromsgrove and Redditch AC in 38.58 and 1st man in the 60+ category was Mick Monaghan (62) from Worcester AC in a time of 41.35. Julie Preen(41) who is unaffiliated was the first veteran woman (35+ category) in 44.47. Ann Stuart (49) from Bromsgrove and Redditch AC took the prize in the 45+ women’s vet group for a time of 45.06. And first over 50s woman veteran was Rosalind Townsend-Hope (55) from Worcester AC in 49.07.
